comes to the family back home and the missionary. Missions shape the rest of our lives it puts us in check and gives us a better perspective on what is really important, it forces us to grow up. That’s why I am so glad that Logan went on a mission that will help him out so much throughout the rest of his life! I would hate to be older and look back and have the regret of knowing that I should have gone but I was just to selfish to do it. And when the time comes when my son was getting ready to go on a mission for him to ask me why I never went and then risk him not going because I never did, I would absolutely hate that! Missions aren’t easy but they are so worth it! Its like that picture we have of Christ that says “I never said that it would be easy I only said that it would be worth it.” Missions are worth it! And from the experiences we gain here we can make living the gospel and the commandments to gain exaltation and eternal life worth it.
Last week was pretty sweet because we taught so many people it just kinda sucks because so far none of them are really progressing and this week we didn’t find anybody that is progressing so far but it will get better. We are teaching an older guy that our ward mission leader referred us to we actually went over with our ward mission leader the other day and taught him and talked about baptism. Its really hard because this guy has cancer really bad from smoking so he has a trake and a feeding tube right now. And he is in a lot of pain so they have him on a lot of meds so he is struggling. The doctors just gave him about 6 months to live. It will be so awesome to be able to find the gospel and be baptized right before he passes on. Then he can truly have happiness in the spirit world when they can do his temple work and everything. So I am really praying we can work with him and he will be able to be baptized he has had a hard life with not only smoking but a lot of alcohol abuse. He said he doesn’t feel he is quite ready for baptism but he knows that he doesn’t have much time. This is the perfect time for him to be able to get everything all worked out and stuff before he checks out to the spirit world.
My wrist is slowly getting better it still hurts a little bit but its not to bad anymore. I don’t know how long until it will finally just heal all the way or if it even will I hope it does. It was pretty cool I got to go on exchanges up in Summerville on Wednesday that was the first time I have gone to someone elses apt. and spent the night and went out with them. All the ones I have been on they stay at my apt. then we go to my area. It was awesome because they were working with a family of 5 and I got to go over and teach them twice and help get them ready for their baptism. Which was cool they are way cool and are now as of Saturday members of the church so that is way awesome."
