Hey Yall
Man this week was i think i would have to say the best week of my mission. It seems like pretty much everything just started to really fall into place. We just taught so many people and we had 2 baptisms. I think that alot of it is that Elder Neering is getting some of the blessings of serving a faithful full mission haha and i was just along for the ride. We had the baptisms on sunday morning before church things ran a little long but we got everything done and kinda just finished before sacrament meeting. Then they both were confirmed in sacrament meeting so everything was all good. The first guy we baptized his
name is Thomas Brown, he has been coming to church for about 9 months more faithfully than alot of members haha. he has gone through tons of sets of missionaries and i think we are the ones who finally kinda pushed him and got him all ready to go and he was really excited and now he is a full fledged member. The other baptism was pretty crazy her name is Keisha she is 15 years old and she is the granddaughter of a member here. Keisha just moved here to live with her grandma and she was at church last week and we didnt even know she wasn’t a member. So we talked to Sis. Keller on tuesday and found out about her. set up an apointment to teach her on wednesday taught her a couple of times then Pres interviewed her and she was baptized and confirmed on sunday it was way sweet. she is a really nice girl it was good that she moved down here it will help to keep her out of trouble she was in apretty bad place in NY. Haha oh ya I had to do baptism twice because the font here is really shallow and she just went stiff as a board. So the first time standing she only got like half way wet then the second time she had to kneel down and I had to push her down haha it was kinda of funny but it worked out really good in the end. Thomas had to kneel down too. Man so not only did we have 2 baptisms but we also got 22 new investigators the most in the mission haha im not bragging im just really excited its way awesome i love it here in Orangeburg the Missionary work is really crackin! Oh man another thing im kinda excited for but i think im more nervous for is i was called to be a district leader on saturday. My distict is way sweet though because the Zone leaders are in my district and they are way awesome so now i get to go on more exchanges and stuff with them. Im kinda bummed that Elder Neerings has to go home I really like serving with him he is way cool. But they told me my new companion is really cool. I hope he is a Spanish elder or they put a Spanish set of elders here because there are a lot of nice Spanish people that unfortunately I cant teach or talk to very well. Plus if I get to be with a Spanish elder in a Zebra Companionship I will get to have language study and hopefully learn some Spanish. So I guess I will find out all that is going on Wednesday, anyways that’s about all I can think of hope all is going well I love you all.
