email 7/2/10

Hey everybody,

This week has been pretty good. We have had the opportunity to teach some pretty cool people this week so that’s always good. We found a really nice old lady and her great grandson down in lake city, which is about a fourty minute drive from the church and where we live. Her name is Louise and her great grandsons name is Maceo, they have really enjoyed our lessons. They were really excited to come to church but she has really bad
cateracts so she cannot drive or read. So that makes things a little hard but we read with her last time and it went pretty well. She should be having surgery soon so she will be able to drive again. Haha its crazy I have met a lot of people I can relate to with that. Haha its kind of crazy how big out area is this is my third area in a row that has just gotten bigger and bigger starting with Walterboro which was pretty big then Orangeburg which was bigger and now im in one of the biggest Forence. But its pretty sweet because we can go and explore parts of our area that we haven’t ever been to so there is always something new we can see.
We also got to go over to a really cool part-member couple last night. We went over and ate with them well they call it FIXIN we just ate some snack type stuff but it was really good. Then after we ate we watched the joseph smith prophet of the restoration the long one they show in the visitors center it went really good. You cant help but feel the spirit when you watch it haha in fact it pretty much punches you in the face. He says that he believes joseph was a prophet and he thought it was cool they just got back from a big church history tour so they saw some places that they had been. We challenged them to read together from the book of mormon and for him to pray. So we are hoping that all will go well with that.
We also had a pretty cool lesson with a Spanish lady that we found the other day. We took one of the members who just moved here and is going to be a Spanish teacher at one of the high school. It was really interesting teaching through a translator haha pretty cool though. Really nice lady she has really high standards even higher than ours haha and that’s amazing for around here her dad is a preacher and is very strict. She recently had a miscarriage at about 6 months pregnant and it has really shaken her faith we are hoping this is a good time for her to receive the gospel and the plan of salvation.
We got to go on an exchange up to Cheraw where Elder Smart my trainer so that was fun to get to be with him again I love how I always end up around him its great!!
In other news my companion Is getting transferred I cant believe its already that time again man time flies when you are on a mission. Well I gotta type some other stuff for my Zone but I love you  guys and would love to here from you
