Hey Everybody,

This week has been pretty crazy for us here in Florence aka the Lemuel team. Elder Smart and I went on exchanges he went into a threesome with the Myrtle Beach elders and I went into a threesome with the Conway Elders for the day. Haha I don’t really like being in a threesome its really weird teaching and stuff you never know who Is going to teach next it makes things interesting. But we did have a really good day we set 2 people on date to be baptized and so that will
be cool to see how they progress. One of the coolest haha well the coolest because there is nothing greater than someone accepting the gospel and joining the church. We had the opportunity to baptize one of our investigators this week. His name is Mark Gregg he is 43 years old. He has been taught be missionaries for a while, they first started teaching him back in Jan. and they taught him for a while. But the time must not have been right because they stopped teaching him he was almost baptized but wasn’t. So right before Elder Cowan left we went by to go and see if we could teach him and we did and when Elder Smart got here we set him on a baptismal date of aug the 28^th and it was kinda crazy his reaction was great. He really loves  Glenn Beck and there is a big thing put on by Glenn Beck on the 28^th and we were talking about it and he said that he wanted to go to Washington for it. So I knew he was probably going to be gone on that date but when it came time to set his baptism date I told him that we had been praying and we feel that he should be baptized on aug. 28^th and he said why that date? I said I don’t know that’s just what we were lead by the spirit to set. And he said yes I will be baptized on that date Glenn Beck said that something great was going to happen on the 28^th and I know this is what it is I know im supposed to be baptized on that date. It was awesome Glenn Beck without even knowing it played a role in his conversion. But the even crazier part is that we went over to teach him on I think it was last Tuesday and he said I would be baptized today if  I could and we smiled and said well we can do it this weekend if you would like and he said ya lets do it. So he was baptized this last Saturday and confirmed on Sunday it was really cool. I am really excited for him I know that he will do great in the church he reads the book of Mormon along with the bible everyday and he likes church. He will become a great part of the Florence ward.

We also got to go up to the hospital yesterday and go and give some blessings to a family that is friends with someone in the ward. It was a pretty cool experience the girl who is in the hospital is 16 and she got attacked by a bull mastiff dog and it tore here up pretty bad. That’s pretty scary im glad I haven’t had any trouble with dogs out her. But she had just gotten out of her second surgery and we went up and visited them and gave her a blessing then we asked if we could do anything else for them and the mom said she would like a blessing then their friend asked if she could have  a blessing. We are really praying that they will feel and recognize the power of the priesthood.

This week actually yesterday we got to go over to one of the members Bro. Thompson he is the High priest group leader. We got to go over and help him to lay tile in his laundry room haha it felt pretty good to do service and do some good old fashioned grunt work. It reminded me of working back home.

Anyways I love being a missionary there is nothing better. And we as members are all called as missionaries so my advice for everyone is to pray for missionary oppourtunites and do all you can to get out there and find them it doesn’t get any better than that. Well I love all of you and would love to hear from you my mailbox has been rather lonely lately and would like some companyJ Have a great week.
