Hey Yall!!!
Man this has been a crazy week here in the South Carolina, Columbia Mission. The good news is that I get to stay in Myrtle Beach for a while longer! But I do have a new companion, Elder Hansen got a call on Wednesday night telling him to pack up all of his stuff he was being transferred. We had no idea what was going on. President had told us a little bit ago that some really great things were going to be
happening here soon though but he and the assistants kept everything way secretive so we had no idea what was going on. They told us to take Elder Hansen up to Columbia on Thursday afternoon and have room to have a couple more elders come back with us. So we were trying to figure out what in the world they were up to. So we get up there and they wouldn’t let us go back to the bathroom because it is right back by the relief society room where something they wouldn’t tell us about was going on. So we were just trying as hard as we could to get it out of them. Then Pres. Brings us all back to a room to tell us what’s going on and it turns out that there are 12 new missionaries and 12 of us that have been selected as their trainers. So it was pretty cool, my new companions name is Elder Koch. He is from Kaysville Utah and he is excited to be here. These new missionaries are what they call Visa waiters they are called to serve in Brazil, but they can’t get their visas to go over there. So they have been in the Provo MTC when they were supposed to be in Brazil, haha and they have been there for nine weeks learning how to speak Portuguese.  So they get to be here with us in our mission while they wait for their visas to come through to head on over to Brazil. Elder Smart is Training Elder Richins who Is also from Utah and we all live together and kind of work together.  It is pretty sweet so far they are awesome and very excited about the work. We have taken them over to teach our top investigator brother Nevins who is way solid and getting baptized this Saturday. We are really excited for him he is an awesome guy, I know that the gospel and the church is going to help him out a lot. I feel bad I wish I could find him a nice wife; he is pretty lonely his wife left him a few weeks ago just out of the blue and pretty much took all of his stuff. So he was wondering what to do and he was reading the bible in Isaiah when god says I will always be with you, so he decided that he needed to go to a church and straighten some things out. Well he was thinking what church to go to and he remembered that his Granddad was a mormon and he was a really good guy so he looked up the church and just decided to come. So we met him and he loved it we have taught him almost every day and he reads and accepts everything no problem he is so prepared its awesome so we are really excited for his baptism.
We are really excited to see what happens here in the ward. Stake Conference was yesterday and they really mixed things up on us, our ward mission leader got released and called as a stake high counselman. Then they realeased the Bishop and he is in the Stake Presidency haha we were all like WHOA  No Way!!! Haha so we will be getting a new bishop this next Sunday.  Our new Ward Mission Leader is a total stud though we are so excited to have him. He is very excited to do all that he can to really get the ward going. His goal is to have it so that we are baptizing every week which would be so stinkin cool!!!  So there are some really great things happening here and I am excited that I get to stay and be a part of all the miracles the Lord has in store for this area!!!
Well I Hope everybody has a good week I love you. Thanks for all you love and support.
Love,
Elder Adam Fitzgerald
