Hey Yall,
We got transfer calls late Saturday night and I found out that I will be here in the branch for another 6 weeks at least. This will be the longest that I have ever stayed in an area, im going to be at six months here at the end of this transfer. We found out that Elder Mears will be leaving us, we both got here at the same time so that’s pretty crazy. He will be staying in the zone still so I will be able to keep tabs on him. Part of me wanted to move onto another area but im actually pretty glad I get to stay here there are a lot of great people that we have been working with that we need to help make the final steps into the font. I am really hoping we will be able to continue to grow things here and have more great things happen here.
We were able to go up to Gaffney (another area in our zone) for a blitz. President Mumford, Bro Savage, and us four missionaries headed up there on Saturday morning. They got permission to split us up and so Elder Steck went with a member from another ward Elder Dietz went with Elder Nelson one of our Zone leaders and a member. Then Elder Mears went with Bro. Savage and I got to go with President Mumford. It was a lot of fun we were out in the country haha there was nothing really around, but we were able to find some really great people there. We taught one really nice lady and she seemed really interested, then we found a lady whos son was baptized and she almost was 7 years ago she said she loves the church and would like to come. We talked to her about being baptized and she said she would like that so hopefully all goes well with that. There was a ton of missionaries and members there it was a lot of fun, it really helps the members to see how great missionary work is. I was able to talk with President Mumford quite a bit it was really great he is a very smart man, he has tons of knowledge of the gospel and he is a doctor so lots of other knowledge as well. He said he really enjoyed the oppourtunity to go out and share the gospel, I learned some great things from him so I was happy. We were also able to talk about some ideas each of us have had about a fireside so we started planning and seeing what we can do to make it a really good one.
We are headed up to Spartanburg today to meet up with the Zone Leaders we are going to go bowling and then have a district leader meeting, so that should be pretty fun. Im pretty excited for easter it is a great time of year I just cant believe that its here already. As we were looking at the calender this morning I saw that mothers day is not very far away at all and that is really crazy I cant believe how time goes by. Anyways hope all is well thanks for your love and support.
Love,
