Hey Yall,
I probably say this a little too much but man does time really fly by, I cannot even believe it most of the time. Well the 4th was kind of fun haha you cant have too much fun as a missionary but we made the most of what we could do. We played a good game of basketball in the morning, and then went over to sister Gambles house to work on our quilts. Which mine is coming along quite nicely I must say, I never really thought I would make a quilt like that but its actually pretty cool to come up with something and make it yourself. After we went and worked on our quilts we went to a bbq that a member invited us to, it was fun haha but everybody was in the pool and stuff and so that was a little weird but it was cool. You gotta love a good ol southern cookout!
There were a lot of people gone for church this last Sunday which kind of stunk but it was a really great meeting. It was one of the most spiritual sacrament meetings I have been to in a long time. Everybody was just really bearing heartfelt testimonies, there is a lot of love in this ward its really great. Sister Gamble the member we go and quilt with she has been in bad health for a while and she was able to make it with her less active son and it was so great to see them there. One of the recent converts of about a month got up and bore her testimony it was so powerful, she is just on fire she has already given us so many referrals, she is an amazing member she shares the gospel with everyone and its so awesome!!! Haha she Is showing the long time members how its done.
We got to meet our new mission president this past Thursday, he and his wife are awesome! I am way excited to see how things are going to go, they are really young and have a lot of enthusiasm and great ideas. I wish that I was able to stay longer to be able to work with him more, but I guess you are called for when you are called for a reason. Missionary work is the bomb take every chance you get to share the gospel you will see the blessings in others lives and in your own. I wish I had more time but we have got to go out to McCormick today which is about a 45 minute drive to go see one of our investigators I hope it goes well. Thanks for all your love and support have a good week.
Love,
Elder Fitzgerald
