letter to family Mon 9/21/2009

Here are some quotes from Adam's letter.

"I can’t remember everything I have told you in my other letters but we are actually teaching a couple of pretty cool people. We have set a goal to get three baptisms this transfer (a transfer is six weeks) so we are praying that we can achieve that goal. I can’t wait to get
that first one it is going to be way awesome! I went out on splits the other day with one of my zone leaders the other day it was pretty awesome. They stayed the night at our apartment and we went out on splits all the next day. He said that I am doing really well which makes me feel good. Ha-ha it’s kind of hard being the new guy and not knowing everything but I’m working on it. The sisters in our zone said I was doing really well to. Ha-ha sisters are kind of weird to have around but it is crazy how many people they teach and how many baptisms they get. Elder Smart was talking to Elder Zockell when they were out on splits the other day and he said he told him to suggest to president that I should be a trainer at four and a half months. Ha-ha I think it’s kind of crazy but it would be pretty cool if I was ready. The craziest part is Zockell is going home after this transfer but when he tells president something president takes it pretty seriously. We had interviews the other day and president asked me how I was doing and I told him good but I just don’t feel like I know enough Ha-ha and he kind of laughed and looked at me and said “Elder how long have you been out?” I said mmm a little bit over two weeks Ha-ha he said exactly you are not expected to know everything it will come as long as you are on the right track and being obedient ha-ha so I said “yes president.” It is way hard work out here everybody teases me saying that I’m going to be stuck on a bike the rest of my mission because I’m biking in my first area. Ha-ha but they are just giving me crap. Its kind of crazy I am the only one out of all the new elders I think who is in an all biking area. It is pretty cool to be in this area though because I get to see the zone leaders, the assistants, the office People, and president a lot more than anybody else does so that’s pretty cool. We will go and have lunch at the assistant’s house quite a bit which is pretty cool to just see what its like to be in a leader ship position. Ha-ha it’s kind of funny though because it just seems like they don’t really do much. I am way glad to hear that everything is going good with Logan and him getting ready. He wrote me once and I wrote him back but he never replied so tell him to write me back. I am way glad to hear Richie is really considering going I have actually been thinking about that a lot and I think it is most diffidently the best thing he could in his life right now it teaches you so much it will really help him out with the rest of his life. I think I’m going to write him today of I have time and tell him how it is and how much good it would do him." "Well that’s all I can think of for now but I love you guys so much you are a great support. Please everybody write me I want to here from everybody! Ha-ha it’s not that hard to sit down and write me an email or two every week to let me know how things are going and how you are doing. So this means Dad, Mom, Josh, Katie, and Meghan. Haha you can even just do one email just everybody write something. Anyways love you guys so much."
Love,
Elder Fitzgerald:)
