This is a letter i forgot to post :p
Hey Everybody!!!
The baptism went really good it was pretty cool I think it will be awesome that he gets to take the gospel back to his family in France. It will be like the story that one of the apostles told about how he baptized one person and from that one person joining the church there are now a ton of people in his whole family that have joined the church. I need to talk to president and make sure that I can email him and see how he is doing. He is back in France now but we did ordain him a priest and give him the arronic priesthood this Sunday it was really cool. So I got to baptize
him and his girlfriend’s dad ordained him and gave him the priesthood, which is good that they got to build that bond because he is already talking about marrying Tammy in the temple.
Man I cant believe its already this time of year I am getting old haha that’s alright I am enjoying it. It really doesn’t feel like Christmas time here because it cold but only because of the humidity its not actually that cold and then of course there is no snow so that is weird. Its kinda hard right now though because during this time of year nobody really wants to answer their door so we have had a little bit of a hard time there but we will see. We are teaching a couple of people that could go somewhere but nobody way solid at the moment but I know as we work hard the lord will bless us. Any suggestions on things that would help us to progress our investigators and get them to church? It is way hard to get anybody to commit and do anything around here but we will see. I think this is my last transfer in this area the Zone Leaders asked if I wanted to go to a new area and I said yes so we will see. Elder Fowkes said that Columbia isn’t really like the rest of South Carolina so it will be interesting to see how the rest of it is.
Im not sure when we get to call and stuff I will let you know as soon as I can. Its gonna be really weird to talk to you guys haha it will be good but just weird. Time has been flying by when I was at home it seemed like the four months kaden was gone was forever but it has flown by here.
I would not trade the experiences and the knowledge that I have already gained and I know there is so much more to be gained but I wouldn’t trade it for anything I know that the lord will provide a way he always does.
And It Is good to hear that you guys are doing good and being taken care of I pray for you every single night. Thanks for all your love and support you guys are the best! I don’t have a ton of time so Tell meg hi and thanks for always writing. Tell Katie to hang in there it will get better and it is all worth it when its all said and done the pain and stuff is but a small moment it will pass. Everything has a downside but the blessing usually outweigh the bad. Tell Josh I love him and he needs to write me more and let me know what he is doing with his life and what he is doing to prepare for a mission now is the time to start don’t put it off like me you will be much happier to be more prepared. Mom I love you so much you have always stuck by my side through everything that I have ever gone through I wouldn’t be here without you. Dad You are the best Dad I could ask for I love you so much you work so hard and are a great example you have taught me so many good things and I am so thankful for that. For the whole Family take advantage of this time to focus on serving others like Our brother Jesus Christ go and visit and fellowship with as many non-members and less actives as you can. Your testimony example and friendship could mean the world to them. Members are a huge part of missionary work I had no idea how big until I got out here. So do all you can I love you guys so much and hope all is well.
Love,
Elder Fitzgerald
