Email from Elder Fitzgerald 3/8/2010

Hey Everybody,

Man this week was a pretty good week here in Orangeburg. We got twenty new investigators haha I think we got the most out of the entire mission this week which is way sweet. Man I really love this area and my companion we just teach a ton of people here and we have a few solid one that we should be able to baptize soon. I am really hoping that I get to stay here for a while because this place really rocks! We taught this family that is here from India it was
pretty cool. They are extremely nice the lady asked us if she could cook for us and stuff. Its just really crazy because they are Hindu and they believe in like thousands of gods, She showed us here little idols and the ritual that they do every night. I read about the hindus and they don’t even believe in heaven they believe in being reincarnated and nirvana and stuff. It was really cool to learn about and stuff but I have now idea what to teach them and how to go about teaching them. They did say that they are going to come to church with us though they were going to come yesterday but they couldn’t make it but they said next week so hopefully. This week at church it was pretty cool President and Sister McConkie came to our church. Every year our ward has a ward fast for the ward and the missionary work and stuff here so President  spoke a little bit and then said the prayer to break the fast, then we had a big ward lunch. Haha it was pretty weird because me and Elder Neerings teach the gospel principles class and pres and sis McConkie were in there, but it was cool because we also had 4 investigators there at church they really liked it. So all in all I think that was the best day at church that I have had so far. We are have quite a few potential baptisms coming up so were are really working on making them happen. Well I cant think of too many other things that have happened this week. So I hope all is going well and I love you guys!

Love,
Elder Fitzgerald
