YO Greetings from South Carolina,
This week was a pretty cool week and a pretty crazy week at the same time. The best part was that we had Elder Neal L. Anderson of the quorum of the 12 apostles come and with him was Elder Gonzalez of the presidency of the quorum of the 70 and Elder Posey the area 70 over our mission. It was going to just be my zone and one other zone that was going to get to hear him but they changed it the night before and the whole mission got to come it was so cool that was the first time since pres and sister McConkie have been here the whole mission has been here and the 3rd time that one of the 12 has come. It is really cool how in tune with the spirit those wonderful men are. Elder Seamons in my
district he actually came out with me, but his brother has had cancer for a while and he knew that he was going to pass away while he was out here it was just a matter of time. Well they narrowed it down and he knew that it was getting closer and closer his parents told him that this was going to be his brothers last week. Well it just so happens that the morning of this big special Zone conference pres comes right before it starts and talks to Elder Seamons and his brother had passed away that morning. Well It just so happens that on the drive over here Elder Anderson and Elder Gonzalez and Elder Posey were talking about death and what happens at death they didn’t know why they just knew that they were going to be speaking about it. So they did and it was really awesome I think that it really helped. Elder Anderson also had pres tell us all about when his dad Bruce R. McConkie died and the amazing events and things leading up to that it was really cool to hear that from president because he really doesn’t talk about his dad to much with us. It was a really cool conference Elder Anderson is a very nice very personable guy haha I think he is one of my new favorites but I always say that after I hear them speak in person because they are all amazing! Elder Seamons is a way strong missionary even though he found that out that morning he talked to his family for a little bit and then went back out to work. Its so amazing because we know that is not going to be the end we are so blessed to have the knowledge of the plan of salvation. I love being a missionary and have the oppourtunity to teach people about the gospel it is the bomb! Its crazy how a mission can change your perspective on things and change how you are before I didn’t like to talk to people I didn’t know and stuff and know I love talking to anyone and everyone and teaching them all the gospel.

This weekend should be pretty fun our ward got us a booth at the rosefestival. So we get to go and be there all day and go and talk to a ton of people and hand out a bunch of stuff. It is going to be really fun. We are going to take a little tv and play the little church commercials. Bishop has told us it went really well in the past and so I am excited to do it this year we are hopefully going to have some other missionaries down to help us do it, and members are going to be there helping it is going to be really sweet.
We are teaching some really cool people right now that are friends and relatives of members here. We got to go over to the Pounds last night and teach Sam Pounds friend named Makala she is 15 and really interested in the church. We have has some good lessons with her so far and she should be getting baptized here soon. We are working with a lady named Patricia she lives with sister Keller and we have taught her a few times we are helping her to quit smoking and she is set to be baptized on may the 8th We are teaching Emanuel who lives with Bro Martinez he is from mexico and only speaks a little English but he is a way nice guy and he is set to be baptized on may 22nd. We are also working with some other way cool people here. I love this area it is so awesome when members do missionary work it really just makes everything better for them for the investigators and for us. I know why every member is supposed to be a missionary haha because things get done that way! Well that’s pretty much our week that I can think of we have interviews this Wednesday and then we have transfers coming up here in about 2 weeks but I think me and Elder Heightower will be together for one more transfer but you never know I guess. Haha I just hope I can stay here and see more wonderful thing happen. haha and seriously whoever reads this fell free to write and I will try to write back but I love to hear how everybody is doing I cant just go on facebook to find out. So please write :) Well have a great week Love you all!!
Love,
Elder Adam Fitzgerald
